Petra's Pomskies
You may be wondering why our website is called Petra's Pomskies. Petra was our introduction to the Pomsky Life.
She stole our hearts with her loving and loyal temperament. She made us look at our Breeding Program in a different light. We were very much (and still are) about larger breed dogs, including but not limited to Standard Poodles.

We are a family based breeding program that takes pride in the puppies we raise. All our parents are health tested including Embark DNA tests. The puppies are born in our home and stay with us until they are ready to go to their forever families.

All the puppies are socialized and handled by adults and our children on a daily basis. On Day 3, we begin with both the ENS (early neurologic stimulation) and ESI (early scent introduction) Programs. The puppies are born with their eyes closed as well as their ears. This a crucial window of time when they are with their Mom 24/7. We run these programs as it is a way to interact with the puppies while we wait for them to open their eyes and ears. We spend a small amount of time with each puppy working these programs while Mom is taking a quick break with another family member. This means they are handled every day and cuddled by our family resulting in a much more resilient and calm puppy.
We also focus on their health by routinely dewoming them at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks after they are born. All puppies are health checked, vaccinated (distemper, parvovirus, canine hepatitis, parainfluenza 3 combo vaccine) and microchipped prior to going home.
